Friday Night Kirtan

Our sangha members host kirtan ever Friday to help New Yorkers drop into the heart at the end of the week. We typically do easy chants so everyone can follow along, and sometimes share Vedic wisdom or saint stories in between. Every couple of weeks we invite guest kirtaneers to bring a new flavor of kirtan. After the kirtan is over at 9:30, people usually stick around and pass the mic around for community kirtan till midnight. It’s a very welcoming, immersive vibe where it’s just about connecting to the divine without being performative, and coming together as a community.
